Hi everyone!

Today, I officially kick off my adventures abroad! Thank you for stopping by to see where the Lord takes me over the next four months--I'm thrilled for the opportunity to do this with Him at this point in my life!
I arrived safely and ahead of schedule in the Madrid airport around 9:15 this morning, after a fun flight full of new friends and cheerful conversation (left: me and my seat mate right before landing).
Breezing through customs, a group of us (students studying with Academic Programs International, API) soon met the program director and other representatives in the airport lobby. They transported us in a lovely bus (huge--the seats had to have been some 9 feet above ground!) to the Hotel Moderno in Puerta del Sol, right at the center of Madrid! (Bottom: the view of the street from my balcony.) Yes, Spanish bubbles up from people all over the place--it's fabulous! Now, if I can just muster the confidence to dive in and start communicating... :)
The time here is 15:41, and all is well! Thank you to all who are praying for me and my family during this time--it truly comforts me to know you intercede for us! Bless you all!

Brittany

Checking in to see that you are adjusted to a new body clock, new menu, and living arrangements in Granada. We're expecting new and good things to happen around here this week.
ReplyDeleteVoila! Sounds wonderful so far... can't wait to see the pics! Like Annie, remember, "The sun'll come out tomorrow... bet your bottom euro!" MOM
